About me
Hello! I'm Meg, the maker behind Stitching Peggy
I began my working life as a high school teacher, and after 20 years in the classroom I decided it was time for a change. Making has always been part of who I am, and while I do sell some of the things I create, teaching remains at the heart of what I do. I especially love helping people discover their own abilities - particularly those who don’t see themselves as ‘arty’.
I run friendly, relaxed craft workshops with a big focus on ditching the doomscroll and creating a really welcoming, social space. Using our hands to make things significantly boosts mental health by reducing stress and anxiety, while fostering a sense of accomplishment. The workshops are as much about switching off and chatting as they are about what you make. I work with local businesses, cafés and community spaces, everything’s provided and people leave with something they’re proud of.
You can book on to one of the workshops available or contact me about booking your own event.
